The Coalition of Partners

The GFCR is an alliance between philanthropy, financial institutions and United Nations agencies, who are collaborating to establish a new paradigm for coral reef conservation.

Private Philanthropy

The Fund was initiated by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation. These two influential actors in philanthropy for ocean conservation have been critical in the development of the Fund and building key strategic partnerships.
