Cape Town, we are back! With our 4th edition of hosting the Global Ocean Hackathon for the region!

The Ocean Hackathon® is a 48-hour innovation sprint, where multi-disciplinary teams of hackers, engineers, entrepreneurs, creatives, and scientists bring your challenge to life through prototypes, data science, and breakthrough thinking.

Whether you're a coder, designer, entrepreneur, scientist, or just someone passionate about the ocean — this is your space to shine. 💡✨

We’ve got amazing real-world challenges waiting to be hacked — from sustainable fishing to ocean data, plastic waste solutions, and more. You bring the energy and ideas, we bring the vibe, mentorship, and impact platform.

Challenge owners and team members must register on this platform. The registration ticket includes access to the event and catering for those present on site.

Once your registration has been validated, we'll invite you to join the Cape Town Discord server to chat with those already present.

The aim is to finalize the teams (from 3 to 8 people) on this server.

During the event, participants must have a computer.
