Many shrimp farms, especially intensive systems, generate nutrient-rich effluents that, if unmanaged, can degrade surrounding coastal ecosystems, including coral reefs. Aquarev responds to this challenge by providing technical, operation, and finance assistance alongside farm improvement solutions that promote better operational practices, enabling farmers to adopt more efficient, environmentally responsible production systems while maintain profitability. Through an investment, GFCR supports Aquarev in scaling its financing and technical model for sustainable shrimp farming.
