Cellana is an algae-based bioproducts developer that photosynthetically produces its ReNew line of Omega-3 EPA, DHA oils, animal feed, and biofuel feedstocks from marine microalgae, the most productive plants on the planet.

The mission of the Hawaii-based company is to develop and operate commercial-scale algae biorefineries. They also are working towards being a leading supplier of high-quality algae-based products for the human nutrition, animal nutrition, and biofuel markets.

Cellana intends to build and operate commercial facilities to manufacture these products for its customers and partners, which include POS Bio-Sciences, Living Ink Technologies, and Neste, among others. Furthermore, the company's patented ALDUO system enables industrial-scale production of photosynthetic, non-GMO algae that is economical, sustainable, and consistent.

Cellana's core technology is a photosynthetic production system that grows proprietary algae strains on a commercial scale at a low cost. ALDUO technology is distinct as it combines closed-culture photobioreactors with open ponds in a two-stage process.

Cellana has made significant advances in the large-scale production of algae-based biofuels and bioproducts through the development of this hybrid production system.
