The Coral Positive Business Support Facility (CPBSF) is a Technical Assistance facility established under the Sri Lanka Coral Reef Initiative to incubate and promote reef-positive business ventures and livelihoods. Acting as a catalyst for private sector-led initiatives, the CPBSF will identify, assess, and develop sustainable business opportunities in selected seascapes—particularly in areas such as sustainable tourism, mariculture, fisheries, and waste management. Serving as an incubator, the CPBSF aims to attract approximately USD 14 million in commercial investment across its portfolio by providing technical support and de-risking mechanisms to encourage private sector engagement. In addition to fostering environmentally responsible practices among coastal communities, the CPBSF will contribute to the Coral Conservation Trust Funds (CCTFs), supporting long-term coral reef conservation and sustainable seascape management.
