They manage protected areas, restore ecosystems, and support local communities through education, health services, and sustainable livelihoods. Their efforts include reforestation, wildlife protection, and promoting ecotourism to balance conservation with community benefits. One of their main programs, The Conservation Coast, promotes ecotourism where they impact 10 natural reserves throughout Guatemala. FUNDAECO operates through a network of sites Guatemala by managing and protecting marine and coastal ecosystems, engaging local communities in sustainable practices, and promoting ecotourism. This solution was part of the MAR+Invest Acceleration Programme 2024.
