The company provides its services to small-scale fisheries and industries to help them transport and sell their goods to customers. The company aims to increase productivity and efficiency of agriculture in Africa.
Specifically, they utilize innovative technology to help producers and traders manage their post- harvest losses, as well as improve market access and quality assurance in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.
They do this in the hopes of helping fishers' have better prices and better income. Post-harvest losses can now be preserved and sold with Keep IT Cool's solar-powered refrigerators, which would have otherwise been lost due to inadequate infrastructure.
This also increases fish farmers' incomes when their losses are reduced and gives them more time to negotiate higher prices. Small-scale fish producers and traders can also now have greater access to lucrative, distant markets with this solution, since it removes cold-chain access-related barriers.
The company's cold trucks enable access to regional markets under a shared services program and helps increase customer bases. It comes with a logistics system that uses an online platform to book trucks for pickup and delivery.
Lastly, Keep IT Cool coolers can store perishables at the correct temperature for long periods of time without being impacted by power loss, and with no operating cost. Raino Tech4Impact has partnered with local producers in Kenya and have allowed their goods to reach areas such as Japan, California, Norway, and Israel.
