Enhanced economic and livelihood resilience for local communities through reef-positive seaweed seedling hatchery in Kaliuda village
The solution aims to strengthen a reef-positive seaweed production system in East Sumba by addressing a key constraint facing both livelihoods and marine ecosystems: limited access to climate- and disease-resilient seedlings. Through partnerships with research institutions such as UNRAM and BRIN, improved seed varieties are being developed, tested, and introduced in parallel to developing sustainable livelihood option to the coastal communities.
