Ocean World Of Sound

Ocean World of Sound (WOS Solutions) is a multidisciplinary organization founded in 2007 that integrates science, technology, and communication to advance marine conservation. Their work combines passive acoustic monitoring, scientific communication, sustainable tourism, and marine technology innovation to generate accessible data on reef health while engaging communities and stakeholders in the protection of marine-coastal ecosystems. Today, they are transitioning to a consulting business model, which has come about naturally as they have begun to be approached for consulting on projects in countries such as the Maldives, Spain, and England.

By making passive acoustic monitoring more accessible, WOS contributes to understanding reef health and improving conservation strategies. Their work provides data that can guide management decisions and help strengthen ecosystem protection efforts. This approach generates opportunities for green jobs in monitoring, sustainable tourism, and scientific communication.

The model is still in an exploratory phase without formal pilots in the MAR region.

WOS participated in the first MAR+Invest bootcamp taking place prior to the third cohort of the Acceleration Program in 2025.
