OptoScale
OptoScale is a technology company that provides precise and pertinent data that help fish farmers make decisions that boost sustainability, productivity, and fish welfare. Its advanced sensor and software, called BioScope, enables real-time analyses of fish welfare, biomass, and lice. Regardless of modules, its site seamlessly and independently presents real-time information to its customers.
Its software modules are:
- OptoScale Farming - Module for keeping track of daily growth during the production phase and making sure that the animals are properly registered for sale and slaughterhouses. The data, obtained from up to 40,000 measurements per cage each day, offer a unique perspective on the evolution of distribution curves, weekly feed factor attained, and fish growth.
- OptoScale Welfare - View the progression of fish health markers like wounds, sexual maturation, and deformations in this module. A reduction in the scope and/or harvest can be achieved with certainty by taking decisive action when changes in the indicators are discovered early.
- OptoScale Lice - Module approved by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority to monitor the growth of lice infestations and conduct.
Every photograph is examined and processed locally utilizing cutting-edge technology. Processed data is delivered to the cloud and then to the customers' portal via the associated cage cabinet.
To allow its clients to select the option that best suits their system, the system can communicate over Wi-Fi or mobile signals. On average over the previous 10 entries, the company promises an absolute biomass deviation of 3% or less. Its customers include Norway Royal Salmon, Grieg Seafood, LetSea AS, and Cooke Aquaculture Scotland.
