Pacific Island Tuna
Tuna profits fund community reef management
This initiative aims to finance coral reef management through revenues generated from sustainable fisheries and supply chain business models. By leveraging income from sustainably managed tuna fisheries, the program supports the conservation and management of coral reef ecosystems in Pacific Island countries. This approach integrates economic development with environmental stewardship, ensuring that marine resources are utilized responsibly and benefit local communities. 40% of profits from Pacific Island Tuna (PIT) will be used to support coral reef management at the community level.
