Sea2Carbon is an early-stage climate-tech venture developing solutions to transform invasive sargassum seaweed into high-value products, including liquid biostimulants, carbon-rich industrial materials, and clean water. The initiative is currently at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 2–3 and targets the environmental and social impacts of sargassum blooms in the Mesoamerican Reef region and the Caribbean.

The model is based on portable biorefineries that enable decentralized, local processing, reducing transport needs while creating economic opportunities for municipalities, hotels, and coastal communities involved in collection and processing. The production of biostimulants also supports smallholder farmers by providing more affordable and sustainable agricultural inputs.

The venture participated in the first MAR+Invest bootcamp prior to the third cohort of the Acceleration Program in 2025.
