Sheba Hope Reef

Sheba Hope Grows has launched the largest coral reef restoration program to preserve and restore the beauty in oceans. They work to conserve Salisi Besar Hope Reef which is located off the coast of Sulawesi in Indonesia.

With the help of the local island community, the organization plants special steel structures called reef stars to restore reefs. To ensure a plentiful and sustainable fish population, they work on regenerating reefs.

The organization would work to restore Salisi’ Besar as well as extend work to other locations around the world in need of hope.

With their newly announced coral restoration initiative and the SHEBA Hope Reef, the SHEBA cat food brand and parent firm Mars Inc. have been working for a sustainable ecosystem.

SHEBA and Mars plan to restore the equivalent of 148 Olympic-sized pools' worth of coral reefs by the end of 2029 after investing more than $10 million on reef restoration over the previous ten years and $1 billion under its Sustainable In A Generation Plan.
