The Living Planet Report 2024 highlights the average change in observed population sizes of 5,495 vertebrate species. It shows a decline of 73% between 1970 and 2020.
It’s not too late to bring our world back to life. Though, it will take some big changes. We must tackle the causes of nature’s destruction by transforming our food, energy and finance systems. Greater efforts to conserve and restore nature are also needed.
