Created in collaboration with foundations such as Save The Med and IbizaPreservation and movements like Plastic Free Ibiza and Formentera, the guide facilitates adherence to a range of legal and sustainability measures.

These include:

• Balearic Waste and Contaminated Soils Law
• The European Directive on reducing plastic impact
• Decree-Law on sustainability and circular tourism in the Balearic Islands
• Ocean protection strategies under the Barcelona Convention
• Alignment with specific UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

The initiative underlines a broader commitment to environmental protection locally, with potential positive impacts across the Mediterranean and globally.
