A New Chapter in the Development of Tourist Boats in Raja Ampat
Tourist boats entering Raja Ampat, Southwest Papua, can no longer carelessly drop anchor for the sake of the sustainability of the underwater ecosystem.
The Raja Ampat region, long known as one of the world's coral reef paradises, is entering a new phase in the management of marine tourism vessels that frequently frequent the archipelago. This was marked by the addition of six mooring buoys, inaugurated by Southwest Papua Governor Elisa Kambu in Raja Ampat waters on Wednesday (January 21, 2026).
