The Coral Accelerator Program (CAP) funds international collaborative teams with impactful ideas in coral conservation and restoration.
The Coral Accelerator Program (CAP) funds international collaborative teams with impactful ideas in coral conservation and restoration. Awards span the full range, from novel early-phase projects to final proof-of-concept development and testing.
After going through the review process, selected projects will receive funding based on the expectation that their proposal will quickly lead to significant discoveries, innovations and improvements in the protection and restoration of tropical coral reefs and deep-water corals.
With up to USD 1 million per project over one to three years, the call encourages teams with ideas and concepts that transcend different disciplines and fields to apply, and this year adds water quality as a new priority area, alongside assisted evolution, aquaculture, early life mortality, intervention planning and reef-associated organisms.
