The Coral Reef Business Incubator (CRBI), developed under ERSI, supports the growth of reef-positive enterprises operating along Egypt’s Red Sea coast.

Many locally led solutions that reduce pressure on coral reefs remain small in scale, often constrained by limited access to finance, technical capacity, and investment readiness. The CRBI addresses this gap by supporting early-stage enterprises to strengthen their business models, build operational capacity, and become investment-ready.

Through targeted incubation support, including technical assistance and business development, the CRBI focuses on ventures operating in sectors closely linked to reef health, such as sustainable tourism, waste management, and reef-friendly aquaculture.

By strengthening the pipeline of viable, reef-positive businesses, the CRBI contributes to unlocking investment, aligning economic activity with reef conservation, and supporting more resilient coastal livelihoods.
